City Manager Recruitment

City Council has begun the search for a new City Manager. City Council has contracted with Bob Murray & Associates, a national search firm, to assist in the recruitment. We are now accepting applications.

Once the finalists have been identified, their names and information will be released and posted on this website. Final interviews will include a meet and greet with the public and a chance for the public to provide feedback.

Projected timeline below; timeline is subject to change. 

  • Request for Proposals for National Recruiter: Posted August 8
  • Proposal Due: August 29
  • Award Recruiter Contract: September 17 (Awarded to Bob Murray & Associates)
  • Recruitment Open: October
  • Review applicants: Fall 2024
  • Identification of finalists: Late Fall 2024
  • Interviews of Finalists (will include public open house): Late 2024/early 2025 
  • Appointment of new City Manager: Early 2025

Interim City Manager Samma Fox

The City Manager is the chief administrative officer of the City and is appointed by the City Council. The City Manager is responsible for the administration of all City offices and departments.

Legislative Agenda

In partnership with the City Council and the City's various departments, the City Manager's Office coordinates the City of Louisville's annual legislative agenda, which outlines the City's positions and priorities on issues before the Colorado Legislature.

Open Government & Transparency

All Open Government and Transparency protocols are coordinated from the City Manager's Office.

Community Surveys

The City conducts Community Surveys every four years, a process which is coordinated by the City Manager's Office.
