Home MenuArts and Events - Facilities
The City of Louisville owns several venues that are available for individuals and organizations to rent.
The City's Arts and Events Department oversees two facilities:
The Louisville Center for the Arts is a small brick building built in 1894. It housed first and second grade classes until the 1920s, and has been used as Louisville's library, recreation center, and senior center before becoming the city's arts venue.
The Steinbaugh Pavilion was originally a blacksmith shop. Today's pavilion was moved into its current spot, where it faces Front Street and is easily accessible for music, theater productions, ice skating, and events.
If the Louisville Center for the Arts and Steinbaugh Pavilion aren't quite right for your needs, there are additional City facilities available to rent through other departments:
To reserve a park shelter or to have an event in one of the City's many parks, visit the Parks Division. Park and park shelter reservations may be made for dates from May 1 - Sept. 30. Reservations open in February.
To reserve one of the Recreation Center's rooms, visit the Recreation and Senior Center's page.
