Community Park - Sculpture Garden
"Clorese"
Artist: Sherrill Stone
A whimsical bronze statue of a fish, created as part of Sherrill Stone's series, "Fish Foibles". Designed to be humorous, the artist describes the piece as "a big, silly, playful fish."
"Fire"
Artist: Tyler Stinson
Tyler Stinson uses hard materials traditionally associated with the masculine; while working the metal, he creates sculptures with feminine softness, strong curves, and careful details.
"Melody"
Artist: Rosalind Cook
"Melody" is a realistic bronze sculpture of a little girl dancing and playing the flute. Rosalind Cook explains that this sculpture "celebrates music and the joy it brings to our lives". (Limited edition of 37.)
"Sky"
Artist: Robert Romero
This sculpture's gently curving form is a lighthearted play on the shape of clouds. The changing colors of the sky and landscape reflect in the mirror finish of "Sky". This sculpture was creates specifically for Community Park, and was installed by the artist.

"Citizen John"
Artist: Dawn Hessel Record
This life-size bronze statue of a man on his bike waves to passersby. "Citizen John" depicts Louisville resident John H. Breaux, Jr., a man known for his friendly wave, daily acts of kindness, and commitment to keeping the city free of trash. While picking up trash along US. 287, Breaux was hit and killed by a driver who veered off the road. Breaux is buried in the Louisville Cemetery, but his spirit lives on in this sculpture and in everyone who knew him.
