Kestrel Affordable Housing Community
The Kestrel neighborhood of Louisville is Boulder County Housing Authority's (BCHA) newest affordable housing development. Kestrel has easy access to local and regional bike trails, commercial services, and transit along South Boulder Road. Design to encourage community connection, the neighborhood has central mail delivery, a community center with on-site property management and resident services, multiple parks, and community garden plots. It is served by Louisville Elementary and Middle Schools, and Monarch High School.

On April 24, 2017, the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) recognized Kestrel for its innovation in a number of areas important to the future of metro Denver. Boulder County and Louisville received DRCOG's Metro Vision Award in honor of Kestrel's forward-looking approach to incorporating safe, affordable, and beautiful homes with free transportation, environmental sustainability, active lifestyle opportunities, and other on-site services they may need.
