The City has a variety of Boards and Commissions each with specific responsibilities as detailed in the Municipal Code and City Charter. All Boards and Commissions comply with the City's open government rules and Code of Ethics. Any person who believes a member of one of the City’s public bodies has violated any of the ethics provisions and wishes to initiate proceedings on such alleged violations may do so by filing a written complaint.

Current and recent agendas are available here. Agendas and records from 2006 to the present for all boards and commissions are available through the Digital Records Repository.

How do I apply to serve on a board or commission? All board and commission members are appointed by the Mayor and City Council to fill vacant spots at the end of each year. Vacancies are advertised on Louisville Cable Channel 8 and on this site. You must be a Louisville resident to serve on any Board or Commission and City employees may not serve.

All board and commission members receive mail at City Hall, 749 Main Street. Please be sure to mark which Board or Commission he or she is a member of on the envelope.

Agendas for all board or commission meetings are posted in the foyer of City Hall, at the Library, at the Police Department/ Municipal Court Building, at the Recreation Center, and on this site the Thursday prior to each meeting.

If you have questions about the boards, please contact Meredyth Muth, 303.335.4536.
