What is the Grant/Loan Process?*
- Applicant first completes Historic Structure Assessment process
- Applicant submits the application form and accompanying application documents described above.
- Historic Preservation Commission reviews the application at public hearing and makes recommendation to City Council. City Council reviews the application at public hearing.
- If applying for a loan, a separate Loan Application must be submitted to funding partners, the city’s loan administrator, after approval from City Council
- After Council approval and executed grant agreement, staff provides a grant reimbursement spreadsheet to facilitate reimbursement requests. See an example here. Ask staff for a copy of your reimbursement tracking spreadsheet if you need a replacement.
*The grant/loan process can run concurrently with the landmark and alteration certificate.
