Ways to Register to Vote or Update your Registration

Qualified residents may register to vote up to and including Election Day. However, in order to receive a ballot in the mail, the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder’s office must receive your voter registration no later than 8 days before the election (October 30). If you register after this time, you must visit a Vote Center in person in order to vote.

Online

Register to vote or update your registration at www.GoVoteColorado.gov using your Colorado driver’s license, Colorado State ID, or the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. Website is available in English or Español.

Email, Mail, or Fax

Register to vote or update your registration by filling out a paper form (English or Spanish) and returning it to the Boulder County Clerk's office via email, mail, or fax. Click here for instructions for completing the form.

Registration/updates will take effect as of the postmark date on the form. (If postmark is not legible, the effective date is the date received by the office.)

In Person

Register to vote or update your registration year-round at any of the three Boulder County Clerk & Recorder offices. Availability of in-person services may be limited due to COVID-19.

During election periods, eligible residents may also register to vote at any Vote Center.
