Home MenuBuilding Code Board of Appeals
The Building Code Board of Appeals hears and decides appeals of orders, decisions, or determinations made by building officials relative to the application and interpretation of the building codes and amendments thereto (appeal application). The Board consists of five members and one alternate who are qualified by experience and training to review matters pertaining to building construction.
Members are appointed by the City Council for a term of three years. Terms are staggered so that all members terms do not expire simultaneously.
The Building Code Board of Appeals meets at City Hall on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 1:30 PM, as needed. Agendas for each meeting are posted in the foyer of City Hall, at the Library, at the Police Department/ Municipal Court Building, at the Recreation Center.
Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings and give comments remotely; however, the in-person meeting may continue even if technology issues prevent remote participation. Remote access information is available here.
Anyone needing sign language interpretation, translation services, or assisted listening systems for a meeting, should contact the City Clerk’s Office (303.335.4536 or 303.335.4574) or email ClerksOffice@LouisvilleCO.gov. A 48-hour notice is requested.
