Introduction:

Blake Welch is a lifelong Louisville resident, where he lives with his wife Gina Varra-Welch and has raised his 3 grown children, Sadie, Evan and Sydney. A graphic designer by trade — and a fine artist, photographer and professor. He began his graphic design career at Better Homes & Gardens magazine prior to establishing the successful design/advertising firm: Welch Creative Group, Inc. in Denver (for 25+ years) prior to switching to a career in higher education and fine art. He has taught at CSU and Regis University and currently (for the past 6 years) at Front Range Community College in Longmont where he serves as program director and faculty for the Multimedia Graphic Design department.  Blake embraces diversity in his art and mediums, — “I look for the overt grandeur or the subtle splendor in my subjects” …  “I like to push myself to find new approaches to perhaps a familiar subject. A little discomfort, a little friction helps move the piece forward while I simultaneously …  ‘Cause pause’”.
