    951 Spruce Street

  • Introduction: Bubbling Up is more than an art project - it is a call to action for all members of our community to come together and heal

"Bubbling Up" is more than just an art project - it is a call to action for all members of our community to come together and heal. This project amplifies the voices and experiences of those who have been marginalized and silenced. By sharing stories and responding with kindness and understanding, bridges of empathy and support can be built. Through the medium of custom crafted bubbles, people of color are invited to share their stories of racism and injustice, and others are invited to respond with empathy and support.

BIPOC individuals are invited to write their stories of racism, discrimination, harassment, or injustice - your voice is welcomed, your experience honored, and your stories will be preseved in your own words. Write a bubble during the April First Friday from 6-8PM, submit a bubble story through the artist's website, or stop by anytime during the month of April to write your bubble story or response to the bubbles on a card and deposit it in the secure box

Write a bubble: What is your story? Tell us what happened. How did it make you feel? What do you want people to know? What is it like to be a person of the global majority living in North America.

Write a response to bubbles: What message of encouragement or empathy would you want to convey to people writing bubbles? What support could you offer? Is there a newfound understanding that you could convey in your message?
