We take it for granted that we can see the stars at night, but did you know that true darkness is an endangered resource? Parks and Open Space areas play a vital role in preserving pools of darkness in our urban landscape. Join the Ranger Naturalist for a nighttime hike of Warembourg Open Space and an easy science project. Stay for some casual stargazing, with great views expected for Jupiter and Saturn. Bring binoculars or a telescope, and a red astronomy flashlight.
