Let’s head to Hangar 2 for Lowry Beer Garden and order up one of their famous Brats or Dogs. Or, there’s always a Burger, Sandwich, or Salad. Entrée range: $10-$15. Then will go next door to the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum for a personalized tour. After an introduction and viewing of an 8-minute film highlighting Colorado’s Aviation Endeavors, the docent will lead you on a walking tour of the museum. With a hangar full of rocketry, space and aircraft exhibits, Wings Over the Rockies will provides us with an entertaining and educational experience found nowhere else in Colorado. After the tour, the group may stay at the museum and are free to explore the museum on their own with the aid of a museum map and suggested self-guided tour itineraries.
