The Irish potato blight of 1845, known as Án Gorta Mór (The Great Hunger), caused more than a million Irish people to die of starvation or related illnesses and a million more to emigrate to Brooklyn and Manhattan.  Join Irish born and raised, Tom O’Reilly, PhD., and Irish Historian sponsored by The Ancient Order of Hibernians, Smithtown, NY, as he brings us his unique insight on this topic.

This is an indoor, in-person program at the Louisville Public Library. Registration is required
