We’re all feeling a little shy after a year of social isolation. So, to break the ice, Rodney Sauer will be presenting two silent comedies on June 19 at the Louisville Arts Center.
In the short comedy DOG SHY (1926), Charley Chase has to overcome his fear of dogs to save a woman from an arranged marriage.
And in the feature comedy GIRL SHY (1924), Harold Lloyd has to overcome his fear of women to save a woman from an arranged marriage.
This will be an evening of ridiculousness, comedy, misunderstandings, romance, and a series of remarkable stunts from two of the best comedians of the silent era. Rodney Sauer will improvise piano scores to both films, with a touch of audience participation.
Masks are recommended for patrons entering City buildings who are not fully vaccinated, including for children aged 2 – 11.
