The new public art, sponsored by the Louisville Cultural Council, for the McCaslin Blvd Pedestrian Underpass will be unveiled at a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 10 at 10 AM. Refreshments and kid-friendly activities will be provided and the community is invited to attend. Artists Rita Vali and Robyn Rathweg have been been busy creating an immersive, experiential mosaic tile mural that depicts the underground ecosystem. A nature walk led by Open Space staff will explore Davidson Mesa in search of the flora and fauna depicted in the artwork.
Please walk or ride your bike to the event as parking is limited. There will be some available parking spots in the Harper Lake and Davidson Mesa lots and on-street parking in nearby neighborhoods.
