Sustainable Careers for the Future

Teens & Adults: View and discuss the video “Making a Living and a Life; Empowering Young People with an ALL Careers Approach”

Sustainability advocates often tout a “green economy . . . students want to prepare for their careers and future . . . educators want to prepare workforce-ready students . . . and environmental educators promote environmental literacy.” The video, “Making a Living and a Life; Empowering Young People with an ALL Careers Approach,” produced by Centaurus High School student, Ethan McAleavy, connects these currently parallel pathways. It inspires young people with a vision of how all careers and livelihoods can nourish their families, communities, and the living systems upon which we all depend.

Join us to view this brand new video and then discuss it with Ethan McAleavy and Martin Ogle, founder of the ALL Careers initiative. The video and discussion will provide new and hopeful perspectives for young people as they start to think about their careers and their part in a green economy.
