Fall Prevention During the Time of COVID

The biggest threat to the independence of an older adult is a simple slip and fall. However, falls are not the inevitable result of aging and many falls can be prevented. This online presentation will review fall statistics, strategies and techniques to elevate safety, along with resources for falls prevention, Q&A, and a short meditative exercise. Instructor: Joan DePuy, RN, BSN, is the Trauma Outreach/Injury Prevention Coordinator for BCH with 37 years nursing experience, and a Certified Reiki Master Level Practitioner.
