The Open Space Division is working hard to restore Davidson Mesa Open Space and we need your help! Learn why noxious weed management is important during weed identification training from 6:30 to 6:40 pm and then help clip seed heads and dig up noxious weeds threatening Davidson Mesa Open Space. Please bring gloves and be prepared for the elements (sunscreen, pants, hat, sunglasses, NO open-toed shoes).
*********************************************************************************************************** IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS: Volunteers will meet at the Davidson Mesa entrance gate behind the Global Healthcare Exchange building on W Century Drive. To arrive at this location, follow W Century Drive up the hill from the intersection with Centennial Parkway. Continue past the office building parking lot to the dirt parking area on the far west side.

Pulling for Louisville is a new campaign to promote citizen engagement with the Open Space Integrated Weed Management Plan and to increase hand pulling and clipping, which reduces the need to use herbicides to control some of our noxious weeds. Keep an eye out for additional volunteer weed pulls scheduled this summer.
The volunteer group size is limited to 25 people, so please register by Monday, August 10! Volunteers will be required to maintain a 6-foot distance with anyone not in their household and wear a cloth face covering when social distancing cannot be maintained (per Louisville City Ordinance). Please stay home if you are sick.
