This Louisville holiday tradition has been a favorite for over thirty years! Activities begin at 5:00 pm and the main attraction, the Parade of Lights, starts at 7:00 pm.
5:00 Main Street is closed to traffic, Art Walk Begins
5:30 -7:00 pm Holiday Activities in Downtown Louisville
- Visits with Santa take place outside the Chamber of Commerce at 901 Main St, at the northwest corner of Main and Walnut.
- Living Nativity and Petting Zoo take place in the plaza outside 844 Main Street, the southeast corner of Main and Walnut.
- Musical Performances by choirs from local Schools and Churches take place at the corner of Main Street and Walnut.
- 5:30 Coal Creek Elementary School
- 6:00 Louisville Elementary School
- 6:30 Louisville United Methodist Church
- First Friday Art Walk and Evening Shopping takes place throughout downtown Louisville. Participating galleries and shops featuring fine art and crafts will be open and offering free receptions and opportunities to view and purchase fine art and crafts. Downtown shops are open late to visit and shop before the parade.
- WinterSkate Old Fashioned Outdoor Ice Skating takes place at Steinbaugh Pavilion (824 Front Street) from noon to 10:00 pm, weather permitting. Learn more >

Parade runs North on Main Street from Parkview to South Street.
How to Participate in the Parade:
Community members are invited to participate in the Parade of Lights! There is no cost to participate, but groups are asked to register in advance. All entries must have lights as part of their entry.
