Drive-in Movie on McCaslin

Kick off summer with a free drive-in movie night on Saturday, June 1st presented by the City of Louisville! The movie will be held at 550 S. McCaslin Blvd. (Ascent Church/former Sam’s Club) parking lot. Movie-goers can enjoy the fun of a nostalgic drive-in movie either from their car or bring chairs and blankets. Event will begin with food trucks and an open house where Louisville residents and visitors can learn about upcoming and ongoing City of Louisville projects. The Movie on McCaslin event caps off a fun day of Louisville events, including Touch-a-Truck and the Taste of Louisville.
Over 800 community members voted for the movie selection on Engage Louisville (www.engagelouisvilleco.org) and the winning movie selection is The Greatest Showman! Watch the trailer >
Drive-in Movie on McCaslin and City of Louisville Open House
- Date: Saturday, June 1, 2019
- Location: 550 S. McCaslin Blvd, Louisville (former Sam's Club / Ascent Church parking lot)
- Schedule:
- 6:00 pm Food Trucks and City of Louisville Open House
- Learn about projects and activities happening in the City of Louisville.
- The first 300 residents to visit one of the City of Louisville Open House booths to learn about a City project will receive a FREE ice cream from the Sweet Cow Ice Cream Truck!
- Food trucks include: Turn-in BBQ, Cousin's Kitchen, Arepas Caribbean, Little Grater, Sweet Cow, and Big Top Pops
- Learn about projects and activities happening in the City of Louisville.
- 8:30 pm Movie begins: The Greatest Showman (PG)
- The movie will begin at sundown, approximately 8:15-8:30 pm
- 6:00 pm Food Trucks and City of Louisville Open House
How to watch the movie: The movie will be projected on the big screen and attendees can bring chairs and blankets to sit outside or enjoy a drive-in movie experience with the movie's sound coming through their car's FM radio. Movie will be presented with subtitles.
Movie viewing area will be divided into the following sections:
- Blanket/Chair Viewing
- Low-profile Cars (i.e. Sedans, Convertibles)
- High-profile Cars (SUVs, Trucks, Vans)
