Occupants of North America are in for a special treat: two solar eclipses within the span of 6 months! (An annular eclipse on October 14, 2023 and a total eclipse on April 8, 2024.) We Coloradans are fortunate to be able to partially view both eclipses! In preparation for this certain celestial confluence, we will spend an afternoon celebrating the intricate dance between the Sun, the Earth, and the Moon. Join us for delightful discussions and demonstrations of why eclipses occur, how we predict them, safe viewing methods, and more about our very own star - the Sun. (Hurry! The 2024 solar eclipse is the last total solar eclipse visible in North America until 2045!)
