Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection (CHNC)

Over the course of several months in 2017, hard copy issues of The Louisville Times, from 1942 to 2007, were painstakingly digitized. The process began several years ago when the newspaper’s publisher offered back issues of The Louisville Times to the Museum. The CHNC site has been updated with a new, easier-to-use platform, higher quality OCR and digitization that applies national standards, and a social media component.

Watch a short YouTube video about the Colorado Historic Newspaper Collection (CHNC) and how this organization is working to preserve Colorado's history.
