Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection (CHNC)

Over the course of several months in 2017, hard copy issues of The Louisville Times, from 1942 to 2007, were painstakingly digitized. The process began several years ago when the newspaper’s publisher offered back issues of The Louisville Times to the Museum. The CHNC site has been updated with a new, easier-to-use platform, higher quality OCR and digitization that applies national standards, and a social media component.

Historic Buildings Research

The Museum Coordinator has researched the histories of most of the historic buildings in Louisville. For many of them, the research culminated in reports written for the Louisville Planning Department.

Oral History Interviews Now Online

Thanks to the participation of dozens of Louisville residents and a talented and dedicated team of oral history program volunteers, the Louisville Historical Museum has a rich collection of filmed interviews documenting Louisville's unique history. The Museum has captured people's memories and stories about Louisville in over 170 hours of interviews conducted since 2009.
