The Louisville Historical Museum plays a key role in showing residents and visitors of all ages the interesting history and development of Louisville. With an abundance of resources online and on the Museum campus, anyone interested in learning more about Louisville will find a wide variety of documents and artifacts to support those efforts. Museum Coordinator Bridget Bacon is also well-versed in Louisville history and the availability of resources outside of the Museum's purview.

Educational Resources

Local educators have access to several different resources including classroom presentations, an educational trunk of interactive artifacts, primary sources, and tours of historic buildings. We plan to add further resources in the form of curriculum and activity guides. Your feedback is appreciated!

Programs & Exhibits

The Museum has both regularly scheduled programs and special events. From programs at the Museum during First Friday Art Walks to quarterly 'Brown Bag' Discussions, Louisville history is shared in informal discussions and structured presentations.
