COVID-19 (coronavirus)  

Masks are no longer required in City of Louisville buildings, including the Louisville Historical Museum. Please note that Boulder County Public Health recommends that individuals age 2+ wear a mask when around others while Boulder County remains at a level of substantial or high transmission. 

Life in Louisville Photography Contest Entry Deadline

The Annual Life in Louisville Photography Contest aims to help preserve images and reminders of Louisville for this and future generations. Students, amateur photographers, and professional photographers are invited to enter.

Eligibility:  Louisville residents and non-residents alike are welcome to submit photos to the competition.

Entry Deadline: Friday, January 17, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.

Judging Criteria:  

  • How well does the photo captures “Life in Louisville" in 2019? Photos should showcase people, places, and events that make someone specifically think "Louisville” versus any other city or town.
  • Artistic quality and originality of subject matter. Photos should capture original perspectives, different seasons, and different parts of our community. View past entries in the slideshow below. 
  • Awards will be given in a variety of categories. Categories may change based on the photos submitted, but may include: Nature, People, Old Town/Downtown, Black & White, Landscape, Student Photography, and Overall Grand Prize.

Life in Louisville Photography Show and People's Choice Award Voting
Select photos will be displayed at the Louisville Recreation and Senior Center in January/February 2020. The public will be invited to view the photography show and vote for the People's Choice Award Winner January 27-February 2, 2020.

Winners announced:  7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the Louisville City Council Meeting
