Home MenuSample Assessor Card, 1948
As part of its mission to preserve and promote the City’s past, the Louisville Historical Museum digitized 1,291 of Louisville’s County Assessor cards from 1948-1983. The project began in 2010-2011 when the Museum, with the help of volunteers, acquired scanned images of many of these property appraisal records from the Carnegie branch of the Boulder Public Library.
The property appraisal records cover Louisville’s Main Street commercial area and subdivisions including Jefferson Place, Caledonia Place, Capitol Hill, and others. The cards include a series of checklists and other information used to determine the condition and value of each property for tax purposes. Assessor cards may include photos, ground plan sketches, type of construction, adjacent roadway surfaces, utility hookups, and even the number of types of plumbing fixtures installed.
