The Parks and Public Landscape Advisory Board (formerly the Horticulture & Forestry Advisory Board) represents the Louisville Community in providing guidance and input to City Council, City staff, and consultants on the development and maintenance of parks public landscape projects. They Parks Board also provides advice to City staff on the City landscape master plan, landscape ordinances, and capital projects. Supporting and promoting healthy horticultural practices through public education is also a duty of the Parks Board.
The Board consists of seven members each appointed by the City Council to a three-year terms. Regular meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the first Thursday of every month at the City Services Facility, 739 S. 104th Street. Agendas for each meeting are posted in the foyer of City Hall, at the Library, at the Police Department/ Municipal Court Building, at the Recreation Center, and on this site prior to each meeting.
