The Building Code Board of Appeals hears and decides appeals of orders, decisions, or determinations made by building officials relative to the application and interpretation of the building codes and amendments thereto (appeal application). The Board consists of five members and one alternate who are qualified by experience and training to review matters pertaining to building construction.
Members are appointed by the Mayor and City Council for a term of three years. Terms are staggered so that all members terms do not expire simultaneously.
The Building Code Board of Appeals meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM, as needed, at City Hall. Agendas for each meeting are posted in the foyer of City Hall, at the Library, at the Police Department/ Municipal Court Building, at the Recreation Center, and on this site no later than the Friday prior to each meeting.
