LOUISVILLE CULTURAL COUNCIL: LOUISVILLE ART GRANT PROGRAM 2017-2018 Grant Cycle
(Grant cycle dates: March 1, 2017 through February 28, 2018)
GREAT ART IDEAS GET A FINANCIAL BOOST THROUGH THE LOUISVILLE CULTURAL COUNCIL
There is no shortage of artistic talent within the Louisville community; however, finding community funding for programs and performance space has been limited. The Council is helping change that situation by actively supporting diverse programs and art happenings.
The City’s Cultural Council is accepting applications for the Louisville Arts Grant Program designed specifically to encourage and nurture artists and arts organizations serving the Louisville community. The intent of the Louisville Art Grant Program is to provide financial and/or facility support to individuals and organizations utilizing the arts as their primary means of expression and encourage diversity of media and approaches to the performing, literary and visuals arts.
For the 2017-2018 grant cycle (March 1, 2017 through February 28, 2018), project grant requests may be up to $1,500 and/or no greater than 33% of a project’s total budget. Collaborations between artists and/or arts organizations are highly encouraged. Complete details and the application are available on the City’s website (louisvilleco.gov), in City Hall or by contacting Emily Kropf, Assistant to the City Manager, EKropf@LouisvilleCO.gov or 303-335-4528.
The application deadline is 5pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Applications can be emailed to LCCArtGrants@LouisvilleCO.gov or mailed to LOUISVILLE ART GRANTS, c/o Louisville Cultural Council, 749 Main Street, Louisville, CO 80027
